报告题目:Supercomputing properties of Hot and Dense Nuclear Matter from Lattice Quantum Chromodynamics

摘      要:Under conditions of extremely high temperature or large densities the constituents of hadrons, quarks and gluons, can get liberated and form a new, largely unexplored state of matter. First-principle numerical calculations basedon lattice regularized Quantum Chromodynamics (Lattice QCD) allow to study the transition from the hadronic phase to the quark gluon plasma phase. They provide invaluable inputs to the interpretation of large experimental heavy-ion programs at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory and the LargeHadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, Switzerland. In the talk I will start by a general introduction to heavy ion collision physicsand Lattice QCD, and then present our recent results towards understanding the properties of hot and dense matter from lattice QCD.
